The opportunity
Project: We are seeking an MEP (Electrical) Manager to join our project team in London. This role involves overseeing, coordinating, and being accountable for all MEP-related issues on a large data centre project.
Working at the forefront of datacentre construction management, the Technology & Manufacturing Technology Business Unit (T&MBU) focuses on sustainable construction and leveraging technology for efficient project management. We operate across Europe and the UK, delivering state-of-the-art datacentres for top clients in the Technology Sector. Our expansion plans require a diverse team with innovative approaches and experience.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Upholding and ensuring implementation of Health, Safety & Environment requirements for all reports and contractors.
* Collaborating with the Commercial team on procurement strategies.
* Issuing and verifying work packages and returns in accordance with the Client's Scope of Works.
* Reviewing Mechanical designs and reporting issues related to Mace standards or Client requirements.
* Working with the Planning team to develop robust, coordinated, and buildable schedules.
* Ensuring PPC (Programme & Production Control) is implemented and updated as per project needs.
* Identifying pre-fabrication opportunities with the Design Team and Contractors.
* Working with QA/QC to ensure Mechanical construction standards are met.
* Collaborating with the Cx team to review, complete, and prepare systems for commissioning.
* Ensuring efficient project handover with Senior Management.
* Meeting project objectives related to timeliness and profitability.
* Cascading all M&E changes throughout the project.
* Participating in leadership meetings to discuss and implement project targets.
* Providing regular reports to Senior Management.
About You:
You hold a degree in engineering and are a member of a professional body such as CIBSE or the IET. Alternatively, other Building Services HND level qualifications may be considered. You are digitally savvy, capable of building lasting client relationships, and leading motivated teams. Your background is in construction or project management, and you are eager to advance your career with Mace.
