This role involves building strategic relationships with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders, evaluating and prioritising digital requirements for new digital products in accordance with the Global Sustainability Digital & Data strategy, leading high‑level investigations on requirements specifications and feasibility studies, and identifying IT‑driven opportunities to deliver innovative technology solutions.


Sustainability Data and Tools

* Proficiency in Life Cycle Assessment, greenhouse gas emissions, waste, and water data is preferred or the successful delivery of sustainability digital products.
* Expertise with sustainability reporting systems to identify data automation solutions, functionality, and connectivity with other systems.
* Understanding sustainability reporting requirements such as climate modelling.


Sustainability Digital Product Delivery

* Identify opportunities to enhance performance, automation, insights in line with Sustainability Data and Digital Strategies and drive these initiatives to completion.
* Provide business knowledge and context for new initiatives within these strategies to IT partners.
* Assist in the preparation of business cases.
* Employ project management methodologies, including tools and techniques, to deliver digital products.


Tool and Technology Evaluation

* Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture future requirements for sustainability data.
* Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance data capabilities, such as data visualization platforms, analytics software, and data sharing or collection tools.
* Implement solutions where practical or communicate requirements to IT teams for inclusion in technical specifications.


Data Access and Integration

* Ensure sustainability data is accessible and readily available for users.
* Establish data pipelines, integrate multiple data sources, and manage data warehouses or lakes.


Analysis and Synthesis

* Offer guidance and apply tools and techniques to analyse sustainability data and generate novel insights.
* Ensure stakeholder requirements are understood, critically evaluated, prioritised, and addressed.


Data Visualization

* Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to present, communicate, and disseminate data effectively.
* Review, advise, and support colleagues outside the data team.
* Establish processes, standards, and templates to improve the efficiency and quality of visualizations.


Other Responsibilities

* Advise on data cleansing, data mapping, and standardisation to enhance global data quality.
* Continuously improve existing solutions, focusing on enhanced automation and process efficiency.
* Technical knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions data, including fuels, solvents and electricity, and other sustainability data including water and waste.
* Proven track record of gathering senior sustainability stakeholder requirements and ability collaborating across different functions and regions.
* Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
* Ability to clean, wrangle, and transform large, complex data sources to generate robust insights.
* Good communication skills and the ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders.
* Experience working in a sustainability data analytics or related role.
* Experience providing software solutions for collection and visualisation of Sustainability, Safety, Health and Environment data for a large organisation.


Desirable Skills & Experience

* In‑depth understanding of sustainability reporting systems such as Enablon.
* In‑depth understanding of product Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) evaluating the effects that a product has on the environment and their data requirements.
* Ability to work independently, find solutions for complex issues and develop new concepts.
* Capability to organise, lead and take responsibility for assigned projects.
* Extensive experience in working with Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
