IT Helpdesk Technician
Newark, Full Time, Permanent
Salary £27,000 per annum
Our well-established, Newark based client has an exciting opportunity for an IT Helpdesk Technician to join their growing team on a full time, permanent basis.
THE ROLE
As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining stock inventory and all the equipment in the IT storeroom, as well as:
* Work with stock ordering and receipt goods as they arrive
* Prepare hardware for delivery to customers and delivery notes
* Deliver and install hardware to customers
* Train customer on use of goods and ensure customer is satisfied before leaving
* Respond to either first line support or end user software or hardware queries via email, ticketing system, phone or face to face
* Follow the outsourced businesses processes and procedures
* Work with the IT Manager and wider support team to ensure any recurring technical issues
* Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been inputted
* Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various software and hardware technologies
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal IT Helpdesk Technician will have experience within a first or second-line support role, as well as:
* Ability to problem solve within a technical environment
* Strong customer service approach and team player
* 365 Admin experience
* Security Compliance experience
* Experience of working with helpdesk ticketing systems
* Valid UK driving license
* Experience with Azure Cloud (Desirable)
* Experience with Windows Server (Apply online only) (Desirable)
* Experience with Firewall / Router Configurations (Desirable)
