About ARU:

ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

ARU's research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK's Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK's leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

About the Role:

Are you passionate about education and ready to make a lasting impact? Join ARU's Schools and Colleges Engagement team within the Corporate Marketing Directorate, as we deliver our local undergraduate student recruitment strategy across the East of England.

We're recruiting for one field-based officer to cover:

* Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

You'll work face-to-face in your region and at all ARU campuses to nurture and develop relationships with a portfolio of target schools, colleges and sixth forms. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality events such as taster days, workshops and presentations — helping prospective students explore their future at ARU and beyond.

With a degree, part-qualified professional qualification, or equivalent experience, you'll bring a passionate, proactive and creative approach.

You'll be highly organised, confident working independently, and feel comfortable managing logistics, using data to demonstrate impact, and working to budgets.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to develop, build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

This is a fast-paced, dynamic role with regular travel across your region and occasional evening and weekend work. All work-related travel will be reimbursed in line with ARU's expenses policy.

At ARU, we're proud to be a university that transforms lives through education. If you're ready to join a collaborative, supportive team that values innovation and inclusion to inspire the next generation, we'd love to hear from you.

Informal enquiries can be made to Katie Price, Schools and Colleges Senior Officer (Development), at

Closing date: Sunday 12th October 2025.

We expect face-to-face interviews will take place on Tuesday 21st October at our Cambridge campus.
