Overview
With the General Manager and the UHDB based Deputy General Manager the successful candidate will provide operational leadership and strategic direction to staff across Derbyshire Pathology. You\'ll work closely with the Clinical and Associate Clinical Directors, and will act as a key contact for the Chesterfield site. Excellent communication skills will be crucial, being able to lead and influence at all levels to effectively support both the day-to-day operational management and the strategic direction of our dedicated Derbyshire Pathology team. You will line manage members of the operational leadership team, and support those teams to ensure the delivery of safe and effective services being accountable for performance in those service areas against all key performance indicators and plans.
Deputy General Manager - Derbyshire Pathology (Chesterfield Site) An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Derbyshire Pathology\'s senior leadership team, following the promotion of the previous postholder. Derbyshire Pathology is one of the largest NHS pathology networks, serving University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, and associated community services. With over 630 staff and a £58 million budget, we deliver a full range of services including Blood Sciences, Microbiology, Cellular Pathology, Phlebotomy, Mortuary, and Support Services across sites in Derby, Burton, and Chesterfield. Based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, the successful candidate will work closely with the Deputy General Manager based at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton to support the General Manager in leading operations, shaping strategic plans, and driving performance across Derbyshire Pathology.
