IT Systems Administrator

Description
We are seeking a hands‑on IT Systems Administrator to manage and support a multi‑site IT environment of approximately 270 users. This role combines infrastructure management, end‑user support, and supervision of a team member.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune
* Manage on‑premise Dell servers, storage, and backups
* Maintain and support Hyper‑V environment, including RDS infrastructure
* Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line technical support
* Support core business applications, including accounting software (experience desirable)
* Manage and support 3CX phone system
* Administer Meraki firewalls, networking, and site connectivity
* Monitor and maintain systems using RMM tools (e.g. Ninja)
* Support and maintain Microsoft Teams meeting room and video conferencing equipment
* Ensure security, patching, and system compliance across all environments
* Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and system improvements
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Proven experience in a similar IT support / infrastructure role
* Strong Microsoft 365 and Intune administration skills
* Experience with virtualisation (Hyper‑V) and RDS environments
* Networking knowledge, including firewalls and VLANs (Meraki preferred)
* Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
* Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
* Willingness to travel between North West sites
