Location: The Highland Council Headquarters, Inverness
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £38, - £41, p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:
1. To assist the Principal Commissioning Engineer throughout the complete range of commissioning management duties leading to the delivery of safe and effective building services installations in non-domestic buildings on The Highland Council’s capital programme.
2. To assist with the monitoring and control of commissioning activities and reporting on progress across the capital programme at individual project level.
3. To ensure that commissioning activities are correctly evidenced, and records
maintained, in accordance with contractual requirements.
4. To lead on the organisation of commissioning related workshops and Client
familiarisation visits and training.
5. To assist with the development of standards for the commissioning of building services on Highland Council capital projects.

Requirements
HNC in an appropriate engineering discipline and working towards Corporate
membership of an appropriate body at Eng.Tech, I.Eng.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations
within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the geographic range of projects this post covers the post holder will be required to have access to personal transport/valid driving licence to fulfil their duties.
