We are looking for a Band 7 Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner to join our Urgent Care team across the GP‑led Urgent Treatment Centre in Ormskirk and the Nurse‑led Walk‑In Centre in Skelmersdale. The post involves autonomous clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of adult and paediatric patients with urgent and primary care needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct independent clinical assessment and history taking.
* Diagnose and manage minor illness and injury in adults and children.
* Prescribe and administer medicines within the NHS Agenda for Change framework.
* Provide evidence‑based nursing care and support to patients and carers.
* Document clinical findings and care plans accurately and timely.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimise patient outcomes.
* Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 7 study in Clinical Examination.
* V300 non‑medical prescribing qualification.
* Previous experience in urgent care, primary care or a comparable clinical setting.
* Strong clinical and communication skills.
Work Arrangements
