Job summary


We are looking for a Project Change Manager to join our Change Delivery Team. NS&I are welcoming applications from experienced Project Change Managers looking to make a difference. As a Project Change Manager, you will be supporting both the Business Transformation and BAU Change Programmes, which sit within our Business Delivery & Transformation directorate.

Working in a team of Project Change Managers you will be responsible for the management of Project Change and Call Off requests ensuring that the Project Change lifecycle is embraced and adhered to within NS&I. The role will be responsible for coordinating all Change Management and Change Control activities for both the Transformation Programme and BAU. You will manage Change Requests, though the early stages of the Change lifecycle, which includes the following Change Initiation, Change Definition and Impact Assessment stages.

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing and experienced Project Change Manager to be part of a dedicated and motivated Change delivery team. If you have a flair for working in a fast-paced environment, managing Project Changes to collectively achieve their aims and you take pride in delivering successful outcomes for both our business and customers, we want to hear from you.

Person specification


Essential experience

* Experience working as a Project Change Manager, managing Project Change & Control in a complex programme environment, preferably in financial services sector.
* Project Change Management and Control experience in an multi supplier outsourced model(s).
* Experience and practical application of Project Change management and Control through the Project Management lifecycle stages.
* Practical experience of using Project Change Management workflow tools.

Essential Skills

* Strong stakeholder management; proven track record of engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders and colleagues at all levels in the organisation.
* Excellent relationship building, ability to develop robust relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers
* Excellent Communication Skills – written and spoken. Ability to communicate effectively, present and deliver messaging in a clear concise way using a variety of communication channels with the ability to adapt to different end users.
* Good leadership skills - to chair, facilitate and drive forward the Project Change through Change Initiation, Change Definition and, Impact assessment whilst gaining relevant approvals
* Excellent planning and organisational skills - can effectively and efficiently prioritise competing tasks and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of PRINCE2 methodology from both a Project Management and user viewpoint.
* Competent knowledge of the suite of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and a familiarity with Microsoft Project Management software.

Essential technical knowledge

* Principles of Change Management Foundation Certification or equivalent practical working experience

* Formal qualification in Project Management - Prince 2, APMG certification or equivalent by prior experience.

* Experience in Project change control management and Project Management in a multi supplier outsourced business model
