The role you'll contribute
Under general supervision, the primary duties of a CT Technologist include performing imaging for both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, adhering to age‑specific guidelines and facility parameters.
* Conduct examinations according to established protocols and transmit images for diagnostic interpretation.
* Maintain hospital computer system with progress of exams.
* Perform a variety of technical scanning procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
* Assist physicians in performing procedures and maintain records of examinations performed.
* Provide quality patient care, perform high‑quality images and exams with sensitivity to patient needs.
* Demonstrate leadership abilities, act as a clinical resource, and assume responsibility for related tasks as needed.
* Adhere to safe radiation practices and compliance plan and regulations of all local, state, and federal agencies.

* Performs all exams using FH CT protocols; uses FH policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam; educates patient concerning exam; properly screens patients for any contrast allergies.
* Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps workflow moving, and minimizes empty table time; follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OPs.
* Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors and monitors.
* Properly screens patients of childbearing age and operates all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co‑workers; practices infection control standards and utilizes approved PPE and disinfectant agents; maintains properly stocked, organized and clean room; performs QA on CT scanners.
* Employee job duties may include transport of pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area; required to complete initial training on handling pharmaceutical waste and use of PPE.
Qualifications
* High School Grad or Equivalent – Required
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Required
* Registered Computed Tomography Technician (RTCTARRT) – Required
* Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) – Required
