Your new role
As Environmental Advisor, you will be embedded within a large-scale nuclear construction project, supporting environmentalpliance and sustainability initiatives. You’ll work closely with contractors, regulators, and internal teams to ensure environmental standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties include:
1. Providing expert guidance on UK environmental legislation and best practice.
2. Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) aligned with ISO 14001.
3. Liaising with regulators such as the Environment Agency, Natural England, and local authorities
4. Advising on Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015pliance
5. Managing environmental aspects of soil and materials (CL:AIRE protocol) and EPR permitpliance
6. Engaging with subcontractors to ensure environmental standards are met on site
What you'll need to succeed
7. A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or other related discipline
8. Experience working in a dynamic, site-based construction environment
9. Strong understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
10. Excellentmunication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
11. Experience with EMS development and implementation
12. Experience in soil/materials management and EPR permitpliance (ideal)
