Lecturer - Electrical Installation Salary: £31,133 - £44,841 Contract: Full-time Location: Multi-campus role Reports to: Head of Department About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join a forward‑thinking Further Education team. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring students gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to reach their full potential. This role involves teaching across a range of electrical installation programmes, providing academic and pastoral support, and contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement. Key Responsibilities Teaching, Learning & Assessment Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions across electrical installation programmes. Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials. Set and monitor individual learning targets. Provide regular assessment, feedback and academic support. Prepare learners for internal and external assessments and examinations. Maintain accurate student records and progress tracking. Participate in enrolment, induction, interviews and open events. Contribute to ongoing curriculum development and improvement. Tutoring & Student Support Provide pastoral and academic support to learners. Deliver group and one‑to‑one tutorials. Maintain positive relationships with employers, parents and external partners. Programme Leadership (where required) Support the leadership and coordination of programme delivery. Contribute to quality assurance, self‑assessment and continuous improvement activities. General Duties Promote an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment. Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and student welfare. Maintain discipline and positive behaviour across the campus. Engage in CPD to stay current with industry and educational developments. Person Specification Essential Qualifications Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards). Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Electrical Installation. Level 2 English and Maths. Desirable Qualifications Assessor Award. Verifier Award. Experience Experience teaching in Further Education or a similar setting. Industry experience within electrical installation or related vocational areas. Skills & Attributes Ability to embed English and Maths within vocational delivery. Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, databases). Ability to motivate and inspire students. Excellent organisational and administrative skills. Flexible, adaptable and able to work collaboratively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders. Enthusiasm for teaching and subject development.
