Role Purpose:
Deliver sales and profit growth through an unwavering commitment to The Customer Journey, coaching your people to be the best and deliver excellence in Operational and Commercial standards. This supports our strategic objective to be the best Discounter of Branded Home, Health and Beauty on the High Street.
A typical day in this role includes:
Brand Awareness
* Taking full ownership of new stores - being curious and involved with the Property function, knowing about all new opportunities
Store Standards
* Be the custodian of the visual presentation of all stores in your area, ensuring they represent the brand correctly
* Coach Store Managers on creating a welcoming atmosphere for Customers and Colleagues
* Ensure Best Availability during store visits, leading by example, following the Stock Master Class 10 Step Principle
* Build strong relationships with the Replenishment team to meet company gap targets
* Implement effective stock systems across all stores to drive sales performance
* Analyze, investigate, and act on sales KPIs to maximize area and store performance
* Lead and direct the team in delivering the commercial plan
Great Customer Service
* Raise standards for colleagues, including dress, attention to detail, and cleanliness
* Motivate store teams to be proud of the Savers brand and equip them to deliver excellent service
* Monitor the area's SAS performance daily and drive continuous improvement to surpass commercial budgets
* Model the right behaviors on SAS to energize the team
Customer Offer
* Lead a proactive seasonal plan for each store, ensuring clear sell-through locations that avoid congestion
* Provide clear guidance on promotional layouts and standards of execution
* Coach the team on promo setup and price accuracy
* Maintain model layouts with clearly defined space
* Engage stores in strategic promo initiatives like promo pick-up and footfall lines
* Ensure 100% promo compliance
* Maintain the commercial model store aligned with Baywatch principles
Ensure consistent delivery of the Stock Master Class 10 steps, validating layout moves with RGM approval, and leading balanced stock file delivery via the “hub and spoke” process.
Sharpest Price
* Develop local knowledge of competitor activity, especially layout and pricing, and keep Commercial/RGM informed
* Implement store-specific pricing plans to prevent customer complaints
* Lead proactive seasonal pricing strategies
