Our client, a fast-growing beauty and homeware company, is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their team in Leeds. You'll gain hands-on experience across product planning, stock management, logistics, and commercial reporting, contributing directly to the brand's ongoing growth. As Assistant Merchandiser, you'll take ownership of product data, monitor sales and stock performance, and support promotions and new launches. You'll collaborate with global suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and transform data into actionable insights that drive smart commercial decisions. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid working. Main responsibilities will include: Support range planning, product timelines, and promotional activity, including pricing and allocations to retail partners Assist in maintaining and creating product listings, line sheets, order forms, and accurate documentation (POs, shipping, invoices) Monitor sales and stock performance, producing reports and analysing data to identify trends and opportunities Provide clear financial summaries to support forecasting and commercial decisions Coordinate shipments with global factories and logistics partners, while managing inventory, reconciling stock, and assisting with reorders Deliver general admin and organisational support to keep daily operations running smoothly Person Specification: Proven experience in a similar retail role (sector experience not essential; interest in beauty and home advantageous) Strong organisational, analytical, and numerical skills with confidence in spreadsheets, reporting, and financial data Skilled at interpreting data and translating insights into actionable decisions Clear and professional written and verbal communicator, confident liaising with suppliers, factories, and partners Collaborative team player, supporting merchandising, supply chain, logistics, and commercial functions
