About the Opportunity
Forge Talent is partnered with a rapidly expanding, multi-site organisation undergoing significant transformation, and we’re looking for a Head of FP&A who can truly shape the future direction of the business. This is a high-impact role where you’ll own the forward-looking financial agenda, build a best-in-class planning and forecasting framework, and act as a strategic partner to senior leadership. You’ll bring structure to a fast-moving environment, translate complex data into clear commercial thinking, and confidently challenge performance to drive better decisions. We’re looking for someone with proven FP&A leadership experience, exceptional modelling and analytical capability, and the communication skills to simplify complexity for non-finance teams. If you thrive in growth environments, enjoy influencing at a senior level, and want the platform to lead and elevate an entire FP&A function, this is a standout opportunity to make a genuine mark.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead the full FP&A agenda planning, forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and commercial insight while managing a team of 2 direct reports and influencing a wider finance team of 7.
* Own weekly/monthly reporting, turning financial results into clear commentary, trend analysis, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
* Drive all forward-looking modelling: maintain and refine the long-term financial model, integrate rolling forecasts, and support strategic plans, business cases, and investment decisions.
* Oversee the annual budgeting cycle, partnering with department leads to validate assumptions, consolidate budgets, and monitor performance against targets with effective dashboards.
* Support cash and liquidity planning by working closely with Treasury to build short-term cash flow forecasts and guide working capital decisions.
* Act as the primary FP&A business partner to head office and senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions, improving forecasting discipline, and elevating the organisation’s financial decision-making.
* Continually enhance reporting quality, automation, and efficiency while incorporating external economic and market data to strengthen forecasting accuracy.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting consolidation, and financial modelling
* Advanced Excel capability and proficiency with financial modelling/reporting tools
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Clear and confident communicator, able to present complex financial information simply
* Highly detail-focused, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate effectively across the organisation
* Exposure to BI tools and process automation (Power BI experience particularly valuable)
