Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative (Hybrid Role)
Temp to Perm Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard-working Class 2 Driver / Yardman to join a busy waste management company. This is a hybrid role, combining Class 2 vehicle driving (40%) with hands-on yard duties (60%), offering variety and steady weekday work.
This position is temporary to permanent for the right candidate .
Role Details
* Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
* Contract: Temp to Perm
* Location: Paddock Wood
Key Responsibilities
* Driving a Class 2 vehicle to carry out collections and movements as required
* General yard duties, including:
o Loading and unloading waste materials
o Breaking down items in the yard
o Assisting with waste disposal operations
o Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
* Working closely with the yard and transport teams to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
* Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
* CPC and Digital Tachograph card (essential)
* No more than 6 points on your licence
* Physically fit and capable of manual work due to the nature of yard duties
* Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures
