The role
Salary: £50,000 - 65,000 per year Requirements: Strong technical background within a Managed Service Provider or multi-client environment Experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and Active Directory Solid networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, VLANs, and Wi-Fi Experience with next-generation firewalls such as Fortinet, Sophos, WatchGuard, or Palo Alto Experience supporting multiple client environments with varying requirements Either already managing engineers or ready to step into a first formal management role Confident, credible, and professional when dealing with customers Commutable to the Basingstoke area with flexibility for regular client site visits Responsibilities: Deliver hands-on engineering and technical leadership Act as the senior escalation point across multiple customer environments Provide hands-on support across Microsoft technologies and core infrastructure Conduct client visits, technical reviews, and solution discussions Define technical standards and improve service delivery Hire, onboard, mentor, and manage support engineers as the team grows Work closely with the owners to shape the technical roadmap of the business Technologies: Active Directory Azure Support Microsoft 365 Windows Office 365 Cloud More: We are a small, privately owned IT Managed Service Provider entering an exciting phase of growth and looking to appoint a Technical Engineering Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a salary of £50,000 to £65,000 plus a company car.
