Responsibilities We are looking for a friendly, driven and experienced Maintenance person to join our care home. We require someone who enjoys and wants to make a difference to elderly persons lives. It’s a temporary 6 month role with possibility of further extension depending on the requirements. This is a part time role with 22.5 hrs/week with working over 3 days/week. Rate of Pay- £12.60/hr Responsibilities: To carry out day to day maintenance of the building, its services and grounds in order to ensure that the Care home is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order. Responsibility for all maintenance, fire and health and safety checks as advised by the Home Manager. Maintain a “Maintenance Book” in which defects are recorded by Staff Members. Use this book to effect repairs/replacements daily. Maintain decoration of the home as and when required ensuring home is kept to presentable standards Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another. Maintain / secure any vehicle in use at the Care home and undertake driving duties if required. Ensure all equipment used is clean and well maintained. Be ‘on-call’ for advice / action in any emergencies which may arise out of hours.
