The Visitor Engagement supervisor will provide a welcoming and engaging experience, ensuring that our visitors always have a safe and enjoyable visit.
You will deliver visitor engagement activities; these take form of workshops, short talks or providing information in the gallery.
You will ensure our safeguarding policy and health and safety policy and guidelines are followed across all Arnolfini’s public spaces.
The Role
We are looking for a warm, confident, and proactive Visitor Engagement Supervisor to join our team at Arnolfini!
In this key front-facing role, you will help ensure every visitor receives an exceptional welcome and a safe, engaging experience across our galleries and public spaces.
You will supervise and support our Visitor Engagement Assistants; help maintain excellent visitor care and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the building.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about cultural spaces, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You are calm under pressure, confident in handling emergency situations and able to support the delivery of a busy programme.
You’ll also bring an interest in contemporary art or cultural organisations, along with a passion for making culture and the arts accessible for everyone.

Visitor Engagement Supervisor
Working Hours: 0.7 (28 hours per week)
Contract: Permanent
Annual Salary: £27,476.80 per annum (paid on a pro-rata basis), which equates to £19,233.76 per annum (£13.21 per hour)
