Workforce Staffing (WFS), a division of Worldwide Operations People, Product & Tech, manages Amazon’s Tier 1 talent (Front-line associates) supply chain. We attract, hire, and onboard the associates who, by fulfilling orders at the frontlines of the company, make Amazon a global leader in delivery and logistics. These processes enable our business partners to meet customer expectations by matching talent supply with demand. The WFS Team is looking for a Staffing Manager who will own engagement and optimization for a defined geography, creating a collaborative team environment and a strong candidate‑oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality‑driven service to business partners.
Responsibilities
* Own the strategic development and delivery of community engagement plans.
* Execute labor demand plans for multiple sites across the node.
* Lead execution of candidate engagement activities.
* Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build long‑term partnerships.
* Partner with local Site Leadership teams to optimize labor requirements across Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and workflow teams.
* Forecast labor demand and create scalable staffing strategies to meet business demand.
* Evolve and implement labor acquisition strategies across different Amazon businesses.
* Manage cost per hire budgets, including oversight of labor acquisition, advertising, and other talent acquisition costs within the cluster.
* Improve candidate cycle time, conversion rates, and applicant funnel metrics; benchmark performance; and exceed associate experience service levels and KPI targets.
* Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly Workforce Staffing performance via KPIs.
* Track hiring event schedules and forecasted attendance to adapt strategies to changing business needs.
* Lead and manage projects and programs of increasing scale and complexity to completion.
* Set KPI benchmarks and prioritize work to meet and exceed all business SLAs.
* Travel as needed to conduct events within your designated cluster or geographical area.
Day in the life
The role holder will solve complex hiring-related problems for INOPS, manage key program priorities for the India WFS team, and deliver hiring requirements across assigned sites. They will partner with Operations, Learning, HRBPs, and external manpower agency partners to ensure successful outcomes.
About the team
Workforce Staffing (WFS), a division within Worldwide Ops PxT (HR), is responsible for the management of the Tier 1 talent supply chain. This encompasses market analytics, candidate attraction and communication, strategic sourcing, staffing execution at scale, and vendor management to meet customer demand by aligning talent supply with demand.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
* Demonstrable leadership in a fast paced, data‑driven operational environment.
* Knowledge and understanding of best practice recruitment or similar operational processes.
* Experience in the development and management of a geographically dispersed team.
* Able to travel India‑wide, as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
* A Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Human Resources is a plus.
* Strong stakeholder management with a proven ability to consult and influence others.
* Previous recruitment experience overseeing agency and/or direct hire sourcing models in a high‑volume environment.
* Comfortable working at scale in a fast paced environment.
* Experience managing large‑scale organizational change.
* Ability to think strategically and translate into operational business plans.
