We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menus
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment
* Serve dishes in an appealing manner, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting or knowledge of Marstons menu
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
