📍 Location: The Newbridge School
📅 Contract: 6 Hours per week - Permanent
💼 Salary: Grade 7 £13.90 Per Hour
The primary purpose of this role is to support the science department by assisting the science teacher with the marking and annotation of student work. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing student learning by helping to provide clear, accurate, and constructive feedback. Strong literacy skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will be responsible for communicating feedback to students in a way that is both informative and encouraging. No prior knowledge of science is required, as all content-related comments will be provided by our specialist teacher. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and passionate about supporting students' academic growth through effective communication.
Key Tasks:
Support in marking student work: Accurately follow clear mark schemes to help mark students work, ensuring consistency and fairness in grading.
Annotate feedback: Communicate written feedback to students based on the specialist teacher's dictated comments, ensuring clarity and adherence to provided guidelines.
Document preparation: Support the science teacher by typing or writing dictated notes to produce word documents, ensuring all materials are well-organised and professionally formatted.
Assist with record keeping: Support in maintaining accurate records of student grades and feedback in collaboration with the science teacher, inputting data in to our school used systems.
Support classroom activities: Assist the science teacher with various administrative tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the classroom environment.
