A vibrant and inclusive 11–18 secondary school in Reading is looking to appoint a Music ECT to join their Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career teacher to develop within a creative and supportive team dedicated to musical excellence.
About the Role
The appointed teacher will deliver Music across KS3–KS5, encouraging students to explore performance, composition, and appreciation. You will direct ensembles, choirs, or bands depending on your specialism, and play a key role in school concerts, community events, and musical productions.
You will receive structured guidance from the Head of Performing Arts, as well as weekly mentoring, observation feedback, and dedicated training sessions to support your induction year. The school is also part of a local partnership that connects ECTs across the region for shared professional learning.

Experience and Qualifications
• PGCE with QTS (or pending) in Music or related field
• Strong background in performance, composition, or conducting
