Job Description

We are one of Europe’s leading designers and manufacturers within the engineering sector, employing over 200 staff in the UK and overseas. Due to expansion, we are recruiting for a Customer Support and Sales Administrator to provide administrative and customer support to our internal and external sales teams and clients both in the UK and internationally. The key responsibilities include managing sales orders and quotations accurately and ensuring exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in office-based customer service, sales support, order processing, quotations, or sales administration, with strong PC skills and the ability to be a point of contact for clients and colleagues.

This hybrid role, working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm (with a 2.30pm finish on Fridays), offers a salary of up to £29,000 plus an annual bonus, comprehensive benefits including free parking, pension, gym and retail discounts, cycle to work scheme, eye care, 24 days holiday, and a profit share scheme.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage incoming enquiries via the sales inbox and direct them appropriately.
* Prepare standard quotations following guidance from the sales or proposals team.
* Follow up promptly on quotations and enquiries.
* Maintain customer records in our CRM system (EFACS).
* Accurately process sales orders within one working day.
* Respond to customer enquiries regarding lead times, pricing, documentation, and post-shipping issues.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Liaise with external sales on order progress, escalate issues, and handle returns and concerns.
* Develop knowledge of our product database and manufacturing lead times.
* Support sales teams during absences or busy periods.
* Prepare for and participate in meetings as required.


Candidate Requirements

Minimum two years' experience in a customer service or administrative role, proficient with computers and databases, and some exposure to sales environments. Experience in manufacturing and speaking a second language are desirable but not essential.
