School Facilities Manager - Enhanced DBS Required!
📍 Location: Southwark
⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm)
💷 Pay: £21.97 - £24.72 per hour
We are recruiting an experienced School Facilities Manager for a welcoming and reputable secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and well‑run school environment.
🔧 The Role
You will lead the day‑to‑day management of the school site, delivering a high‑quality facilities service for staff, students and visitors. Working closely with senior leaders, you will oversee maintenance, contractors, health & safety, and site operations, with opportunities to collaborate across a wider estates network.
✅ Key Responsibilities
🏫 Day‑to‑day site management, safety and security
🛠️ Managing repairs, maintenance and inspections
🧹 Overseeing cleaning, security and building services
📋 Managing contractors, tenders and procurement
⚠️ Ensuring full health & safety and statutory compliance
🚨 Acting as site emergency contact when required
👤 About You
🎓 Relevant facilities management qualification and health & safety accreditation
📚 Strong knowledge of maintenance, compliance and site operations
💬 Excellent communication and ICT skills
🏢 Experience managing a complex site
👥 Strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach
🛡️ Commitment to safeguarding and student well-being
🖥️ WorkNest experience is desirable
