GSL Education Manchester is working with a well-regarded secondary school in North Manchester to recruit a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a full-time role starting September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals considering a future in teaching or those with experience working with young people.
About the Role:
You will step into classrooms during teacher absences to deliver pre-prepared work, ensuring students remain focused and on-task. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent classroom management, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise classes during teacher absence
Deliver pre-set work and maintain learning standards
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Support students with their learning when needed
Provide feedback to subject teachers on lesson outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work)
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
A positive, adaptable, and proactive approach
An interest in pursuing a career in education (desirable)
