Position: SEND Teaching Assistant (TA)
Key Stage: EYFS, 1 & 2
Location: Basildon
Start date: ASAP
Pay: 85 - 105 per day
Responsibilities
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and compassionate individuals to support children with special educational needs in the classroom. As an SEND Teaching Assistant (TA), sometimes known as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be working in schools to provide assistance, often on a 1 to 1 basis with children, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Qualifications
The successful applicant is expected to have maths and English (GCSE grade C/4 and above) or alternatively a suitable childcare qualification. SEND qualification is preferred but not essential. Experience and personality are equally desirable. Being able to work in a team as well as individually is important to provide maximum support to the class teacher.
