What You'll Do:
As a Lead Applied AI Engineer, you will:
* Spearhead AI projects that enhance public service experiences.
* Write and review code daily to maintain high-quality standards.
* Guide your technical team in delivering impactful solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet real user needs.
* Establish frameworks for responsible AI development and deployment.
* Promote best practises in applied AI throughout government initiatives.
* Stay abreast of the latest AI trends and technologies.
Who You Are:
We're looking for someone with:
* Proficiency in Python and strong software engineering skills.
* Experience in deploying and monitoring production-ready systems in the cloud.
* Knowledge of Large Language Models, natural language processing, and deep learning.
* A passion for creating AI products that enhance human capabilities.
* A collaborative spirit and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
Bonus Points:
Experience with containerisation (Docker), AI agents, or mentoring technical teams is a plus!
