London Building Control is part of the Bureau Veritas group. They provide a service that ensures construction work complies with UK building regulations. These regulations are designed to make buildings safe, healthy, energy‑efficient, and accessible.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Administrator to join our friendly and professional team. This is a permanent position based at our Exeter office. You’ll be central to the smooth day-to-day running of the office, supporting colleagues, managing key administrative tasks, and ensuring an efficient and welcoming working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a professional communication style, and confidence using computerised systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Answer and manage incoming calls professionally, handling enquiries and directing calls appropriately
2. Manage and respond to email correspondence
3. Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels
4. Process Building Control applications through to completion
5. Prepare legal documentation using our bespoke software system
6. Accurately enter and manage financial data within internal systems
7. Provide general administrative support to the wider team to maintain productivity
About You:
8. Strong IT skills with accurate and efficient typing ability
9. Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
10. Previous administrative or office-based experience is desirable
11. Highly organised with strong attention to detail
12. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
