Vascular Nurse – Private Clinic Bank Shifts – Exeter / Various Locations
Position Summary: At the UK Vein Clinic, we are looking for a vascular nurse to help deliver varicose vein treatments to meet the growing demand of patients nationwide. The successful candidate will work flexibly across Exeter and other locations, reporting to the Lead Vascular Nurse.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform all safety checks before a clinic starts, including cleaning the room before, during, and after treatment.
- Collaborate with a second nurse to support the Consultant during patient treatment.
- Provide a warm, welcoming environment for patients, keeping them comfortable and reassured throughout appointments.
- Ensure patients understand aftercare and how to achieve best results, providing relevant information and support.
- Work as part of a team to adhere to CQC regulations at all times.
- Attend clinical specialty meetings to discuss care pathways, training, or support needs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with at least 1‑year post‑qualification experience.
- Current, up‑to‑date mandatory training records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred (but not essential)
- Previous experience in private practice.
- Understanding and knowledge of venous disease and related conditions.
