Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00‑4:00, Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
* Act as an integral part of the ward team ensuring high‑quality service to patients.
* Coordinate all patient facilities in the ward and maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
* Provide effective catering, cleaning and maintenance services on the ward.
* Engage with patients, offering reassurance and support.
* Order non‑clinical supplies and keep the ward tidy.
* Prepare snacks and drinks for patients and staff.
* Report faults and any maintenance issues promptly.
* Perform clerical and administrative tasks related to ward operations.

Person Specification
Essential
* Experience of working with people within a healthcare setting.
* Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* Good standard of IT skills.
* Knowledge of stock rotation processes.
* Experience of carrying out domestic duties in accordance with NHS cleaning standards.
* Experience in a cleaner/domestic assistant, housekeeper or similar role.
Desirable
* NVQ in Healthcare.
* GCSE English and Maths.
* Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Experience working within a hospital setting.
