An award-winning, integrated PR & Marketing agency, known for its collaborative, creative culture and strong focus on professional development, is looking for a Head of Marketing to join them on a fixed-term maternity cover contract (July 2024 – May 2025).
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a fast-paced, ambitious agency environment. You’ll be supported by a talented marketing team, with access to a wider group of strategists, designers, and creatives – and play a pivotal role in shaping the Marketing Practice's future and the agency’s wider culture.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading and nurturing a high-performing Marketing Practice team of five.
* Providing strategic marketing counsel directly to senior client stakeholders (CMO and SVP Marketing level).
* Driving agency growth through strong new business leadership, supporting proposal and pitch development to help maintain a high win rate.
* Shaping marketing strategy across content marketing programmes, owned channels, and digital campaigns (content creation itself is handled by other teams).
* Collaborating closely with creative and strategic teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns.
* Overseeing commercial aspects of the Practice including pipeline management and supporting shadow P&L ownership.
* Playing an active role in the agency’s Senior Leadership Team, helping to influence agency-wide initiatives and culture.
Who we’re looking for:
* A senior marketing professional with 10+ years’ experience across multiple marketing disciplines.
* A strong agency background is essential — you will be fully comfortable with the fast-paced nature of agency life, client pitching, campaign delivery, and growing existing client relationships.
* Confident in leading teams and empowering high-performing individuals.
* Commercially savvy, with an instinct for spotting growth opportunities with both new and existing clients.
* Skilled at working cross-functionally with creatives, strategists, and content teams to deliver outstanding work.
* Experience working with technology brands is highly desirable.
What’s on offer:
* A salary of £80,000–£85,000.
* Flexible working: open to candidates wanting a 4-day or 5-day working week — if you bring deeper seniority and experience, you can work 4 days at the full advertised salary.
* Hybrid working: office days typically Tuesday to Thursday, with remote working the rest of the week.
* Early 3pm finish on Fridays.
