Specialised Clinical Physiologist
As a Specialised Clinical Physiologist you will be involved in an extensive range of clinical investigations including:
* EEGs – routine, sleep, and portable recordings on patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical conditions.
* Multi-modality evoked potentials
* Nerve conduction studies
* Ambulatory EEG
* Video-telemetry EEG both in‑patient and home video‑telemetry
* Intracranial video‑telemetry EEG
* PSG and MSLT
* Intra‑operative monitoring
Full training will be given for more complex investigations. The department is actively involved in student training at STP and apprenticeship levels and you would be expected to be part of this.
An on‑call rota operates at weekend and bank holidays between the hours of 9 am–5 pm. You will perform a range of complex and highly complex diagnostic neurophysiological investigations on patients of all ages from a range of specialities suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including neurological, psychiatric and/or learning‑difficult conditions. These may be carried out in the dedicated environment of the department or in a non‑dedicated environment (i.e. wards and Intensive Therapy Unit in the Trust or other hospitals in the region).
