Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver age 25+. The ideal candidate will have previous delivery driver experience and a strong commitment to providing excellent service. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries to our customers.
Duties
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and customer signatures.
* Assist with heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns during deliveries.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential.
* A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is required; experience driving a long wheel base van is preferred.
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is advantageous.
* Prior warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding the logistics of loading and unloading goods.
* Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, ensuring safe handling of all items during transport.

Progression - on completion of a probationary period the successful candidate will be eligible for being put through their HGV licence, fully funded by the employer.
