As a Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom learning, help students access the curriculum, and encourage progress and positive behaviour. This Temp to Perm opportunity offers hands-on experience working closely with teaching and pastoral teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support lesson delivery across multiple subjects
2. Provide 1:1 and group support, including SEN/EAL students
3. Assist with classroom setup and resource preparation
4. Encourage a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
5. Help manage classroom behaviour effectively
6. Work with SENCOs, teachers, and support staff to meet pupil needs
7. Supervise students during break/lunch when required
8. Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
9. Maintain a positive attitude and adaptable approach
10. Be committed to supporting young learners
Requirements
* Applicants must have or obtain an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce). If not registered with the update service, a new check may be required (cost may apply).
* Experience: Minimum 1 year working with secondary-aged students
* Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
