Job Description – Business Analyst (Mortgages Domain)
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in the Mortgages domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional capable of independently managing deliverables, engaging with stakeholders, and driving outcomes across business and IT teams. This role requires strong domain knowledge in mortgages, coupled with analytical and documentation skills to support requirements gathering, solution design, and project delivery.

Responsibilities
* Engage with business stakeholders, operations, and technology teams to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for mortgage-related initiatives.
* Independently manage progress on assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery of BA artefacts.
* Conduct workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs with stakeholders to validate requirements and business processes.
* Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
* Support solution design and validate against business requirements.
* Work closely with testing teams to review test scenarios, validate test coverage, and support UAT.
* Identify process improvements and contribute to business transformation initiatives in mortgages.
* Ensure alignment of requirements with regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations.
Required Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Mortgages domain (retail or commercial).
* Strong understanding of end-to-end mortgage lifecycle processes (origination, underwriting, servicing, arrears, redemption).
* Hands-on experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process modelling (e.g., BPMN, UML).
* Experience in working with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall delivery models.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to operate independently, self-prioritize, and handle multiple initiatives.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA/Professional certification preferred).
Good to Have
* Knowledge of core banking systems, loan management platforms, and digital mortgage solutions.
* Familiarity with regulatory/compliance requirements in the mortgage sector.
* Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
