Manufacturing Engineer / CNC ProgrammerAdvanced Precision Engineering RomfordThis is a role for an engineer who wants more than just programming - it's about shaping how products are manufactured from the ground up.Joining a highly capable engineering team, you'll be instrumental in developing machining strategies, introducing new components into production, and driving improvements across manufacturing processes.The RoleYou'll operate at the intersection of engineering and production, taking ownership of CNC programming, process development, and tooling design to ensure components are delivered efficiently, accurately, and right first time.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and optimise CNC programmes for 3, 4, and 5-axis machiningDevelop manufacturing processes and methods for new and existing productsDesign and implement work holding solutions, jigs, and fixturesDefine and manage all supporting production elements, including:Tooling and cutting strategiesGauging and inspection methodsProduction routings and process documentationEnsure projects are delivered within cost, quality, and time constraintsSupport and enhance process control documentation and standardisationWork closely with production teams to ensure smooth introduction of new componentsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce wasteKeep up to date with emerging manufacturing technologies and identify opportunities for adoptionWhat We're Looking ForStrong background in precision manufacturing / CNC machining environmentsProven experience in offline CNC programming (multi-axis machining essential)Ability to develop robust, repeatable manufacturing processesExperience designing tooling, fixtures, and work holding solutionsConfident interpreting complex engineering drawings and specificationsStrong understanding of machining principles, materials, and toolingDesirable ExperienceBackground in aerospace or other highly regulated industriesExperience working within a medium to large manufacturing environmentEngineering qualification (Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent)Exposure to continuous improvement methodologiesHow to ApplyTo apply for this exclusive opportunity, please submit an up-to-date CV by clicking the Apply button, or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.If you have not been contacted by A1 Personnel within two weeks of submitting your application, please assume that your CV has not been shortlisted on this occasion.A1 Personnel is acting as a specialist recruitment consultancy in relation to this vacancy.
