With an annual turnover across the Group circa £1.1 Billion, Newbury Investments forms a large group of Wholesale and Distribution Companies across varied market sectors across the UK such as Lighting, DIY & Gardening, Security Solutions and Plumbing & Heating. The group has been and remains highly acquisitive creating opportunities nationwide for all employees. Due to expansion, they are looking to hire 2 x Trainee Internal Auditors & 2 x Finance Trainees for their Head Office in Newbury.

What is the role?
As a Finance Trainee you will join a successful existing team of 30 people. This is 100% an office based position. You will be managing end to end accounts of all the businesses within the Newbury Investments Group. You will learn how the accounting world works whilst having the opportunity to complete a CIMA & ACCA professional accounting qualification fully funded by Newbury Investments. The team is broken into 6 teams each with a manager. All the managers started out as a Finance Trainee and they have a promote from within culture.
Role responsibilities:
* Accounts payable
* Raising ad-hoc payments
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist with customer & supplier rebates
* Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
* Help preparing VAT returns
* Helping to draft management accounts
* Prepare monthly journals
* Ad-hoc tasks
Candidate requirements:
* Commutable to Newbury (RG14 5TN)
* Good with numbers
* Strong communicator
* Quick learner and analytical thinker
