Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer - Kent
My client is looking for a Fire Service & Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Kent. If you're looking for a challenging and varied role, this is an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance, fault finding, installation, and commissioning on:
* Fire alarms
* Automatic opening vents (AOV)
* CCTV systems
* Access control systems
* Warden call systems
* Fire extinguishers
* Complete engineer service reports accurately
* Identify and report any deficiencies or deviations in systems
* Maintain emergency lighting systems and associated equipment such as fire extinguishers and AOVs
* Conduct regular van stock checks, liaising with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department to ensure stock levels are maintained
* Maintain a strong health and safety mindset, identifying potential risks and ensuring the safety of yourself and others
* Strive for first-time fixes whenever possible
What We’re Looking For:
* A flexible approach to work, with a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with opportunities for additional earnings through weekends and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota
* A full UK driving license
* Previous experience with fire alarm systems, including knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional systems
* FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals
* Understanding of BS5839, particularly Parts 1 and 6
* Good IT literacy
* Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations in the workplace
