Do you want to contribute to how the NHS in Scotland delivers financial sustainability

Come and Work with Us

We are a modern, progressive Finance Department that prides itself on re-shaping the role of the traditional Accountant, and playing our part in ensuring "everyone has the best care experience possible" in line with the Board's vision.

We currently have two exciting opportunities for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in Public Sector Finance as a Management Accountant. These roles offer the chance to develop your career in a fast paced, complex and rewarding environment, where we actively support our staff's learning and development.

Post 1 Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the post holder will be responsible for delivering a management accounting service to a number of organisational departments. As a member of the finance team you will assist in supporting the organisation to deliver care to the population of Tayside whilst ensuring strong financial management within the Board.

Post 2 Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this post will have a focus on ensuring our financial reporting systems are robust, efficient and aligned with operational needs. You will support the development, maintenance and optimisation of our financial systems, supporting accurate reporting and compliance.

Both roles involve working within a team of motivated and forward thinking professionals in Management Accounting whilst also working in parallel with a broad range of services. You will provide a comprehensive financial management service to ensure effective budgetary control and financial balance, demonstrating your proactive approach, initiative and ability to prioritise workload.

Living / Working in Tayside

Tayside offers award-winning towns and cities, breath taking beaches and alluring countryside. Historically rich and home to Scotland's longest river, Tayside is an innovative and exciting place to begin or expand your career.

Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross make up this vibrant region - between them offering the perfect blend of city, country and coastline. In fact, you can easily enjoy the tranquillity and scenery of neighbouring towns and villages within reach of the region's cities of Dundee and Perth.

Dundee is innovative, creative and enjoys more hours of sunshine than any other Scottish city. Rich heritage, countryside splendour and thriving industries are abundant and is encapsulated the Dundee's slogan, 'One City, Many Discoveries'.

Eligibility to Work in the UK

To work in the United Kingdom, there is a legal requirement for an individual to demonstrate that they have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is, without exception, granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service.

As part of the pre-employment checks for a preferred candidate, NHS Scotland Boards will check your entitlement to work in the UK. It can be evidenced through a number of routes including specific types of visa as well as EU settled and pre-settled status.

For specific types of post, if you do not have the necessary eligibility to work in the UK, it might be possible (though not guaranteed) to secure sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker Visa. However, this is only possible if the employer is a licensed Sponsor, and if the post does not fall below the minimum salary threshold.

It is essential that you have checked that you either already have an appropriate right to work in the UK or that the post would be eligible to be sponsored BEFORE submitting your application form.
