Base pay range
Pay: £25,833 - £26,624 per annum. Based on experience (40 hours per week).
Working hours and location
Working hours: Monday to Friday – 38 hours over 4 days from 8am-6pm.
Location: Little Green Rascals Minster Yard, 7 Minster Yard, York, North Yorkshire, YO1 7JD.
About Our Nursery
Little Green Rascals Minster Yard is a truly unique nursery. Our goal is to create a home-from-home environment with natural, locally sourced, and organic products where possible. We use sustainable materials for toys and resources, and source electricity from an ethical supplier. We are located in York city centre with five rooms (Wiggly Worms, Dancing Dragonflies, Little Ladybirds, Cheeky Hens and Preschool) and a Forest School area. We care for up to 125 children per day aged 0-4 years. There is no on-site parking, but there are local bus routes and nearby parking options; we are an 8-minute walk from York train station. Perks include birthday time off, Perkbox, and a veg box.
What Your Role Involves
* Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
* Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
* Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones and share records with parents.
* Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
* Be a team player, offering guidance to apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
Qualifications
* Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Please note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
* DBS checks, satisfactory references, and right to work in the UK will be required for successful applicants.
