About the Role
They are seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to join their in-house drawing office. You will be responsible for producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models to support the delivery of structural steel and temporary works projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce 3D models using Tekla
* Generate GA, fabrication, and erection drawings
* Prepare material lists, NC files, and schedules
* Interpret engineering and architectural drawings
* Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
* Ensure compliance with BS/EN standards and client specifications
* Manage revisions and maintain document control
* Provide technical support to workshop and site teams
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Steel Detailer
* Strong knowledge of structural steelwork and fabrication
* Proficiency in Tekla (other detailing software considered)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Understanding of connections, detailing, and erection principles
* Familiarity with UK standards
Desirable
* Temporary works experience (e.g. propping, walers)
* AutoCAD or similar software knowledge
* HNC/HND in Structural/Mechanical Engineering
Salary
Up to £55,000 (dependent on experience)
