Overview
To support Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists by providing a high standard service to ward‑based patients. You will work with the Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and ward staff to implement and progress rehabilitation programmes, enabling patients to achieve their optimum level of independence in mobility and daily living activities. You will be actively involved in the continuation of rehabilitation programmes during weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, participate in the multi‑disciplinary team, assist with specified duties, and take responsibility for planning your own work duties. You will work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and other support staff, receiving on‑the‑job training based on a structured competency framework.
Essential Requirements
* Full current UK driving licence for a manual car
* GCSE English Grade C or above (4 or above in the new scale)
* GCSE Mathematics Grade C or above (4 or above in the new scale)
* Foundation degree, NVQ or equivalent relevant competency framework
* Experience of working in an enabling or caring environment
* Good organisational skills
* Team‑working skills
* Ability to present clear written communication
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* First aid certificate
* Qualification in a relevant computer skill
* Experience of leading or supporting group work
* Ability to use initiative
* Example of resilience or managing own stress
