2020 Recruitment are working with our engineering client who are looking to add a Fitter to their team in Irvine on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time position working 39 hours per week on a day and night weekly rotation.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you:
* Come from an oil and gas background
* Have experience working with medium to heavy components
* Have carried out hydrostatic testing
* Have experience using overhead cranes
The Role
As the Fitter you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of various customer specifications. Accuracy and attention to detail are key, as well as being able to work in line with the company’s high standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Fitter your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
* Assemble components in line with customer / Company specifications and procedures.
* Bending and threading of light bore hydraulic tubing to customer schematic drawings.
* Pressure testing in line with specifications.
* Maintaining and promoting Health and Safety procedures.
* Maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
* Experience within a similar role
* Background in oil and gas
* Experience working with medium to heavy components
* Knowledge of hydrostatic testing processes
* Experience operating overhead cranes
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
* Ability to work independently whilst delivering the highest standards
* Forklift license would be highly advantageous
* Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Irvine
