HQ Aparthotel Farnborough is centrally located in Farnborough Town Centre and has 72 studio and one bedroomed apartments available for short or long term letting. Its close to Legoland, Ascot Racecourse and a range of other attractions Farnborough is home to Farnborough International Airport which is a centre for Private Aircraft, and also Farnborough Exhibition Centre which hosts events throughout the year. There are some major Companies in the immediate area. and there is a fast train to Central London in 38 minutes. The Role! This role contributes to the Cycas Hospitality vision, goals and values and is responsible for maximizing overall revenue and performance throughout the property. The Sales Manager works closely with the Hotel Manager to determine appropriate sales strategies in key market segments maximizing all opportunity supporting revenue objectives. The Sales Manager will be tasked to work towards sales targets and network with corporate clients, TMCs, Extended Stay Agents, local associations and networking groups, etc. He/she will be required to observe the local and wider domestic market, identify trends and monitor competitor activity. The Sales Manager also manages key accounts and oversees the account management of all the contracted accounts across multiple market segments, aiming to maximize sales activities and driving a sales culture on property. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Hotel HOD’s, Brand team, hotel team, area groups and corporate business, travel agencies, extended stay and relocation agencies, key account managers and directors, competitors Competencies & Skills Acknowledged Sales experience within the UK Understanding of sales within a branded environment Strong leadership, negotiation and relationship skills Team player with strong interpersonal skills Analytical approach to sales and ability to “think outside the box”. Effective ability to supervise, motivate, coach and develop teams Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations Demonstrate self-confidence, energy, enthusiasm and be a motivator Ability to adapt to a frequently changing market environment. Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines Desire to coach selling techniques to the team on property Excellent organizational and planning skills Front office experience Knowledge of PMS systems desirable (e.g. Opera, Mews, etc).
