Customs Clearance Agent
£30,000 - £32,500 + Bonus + Paid Overtime + Hybrid Working + Benefits
Armagh
Are you an experienced Customs professional looking to join a fast-paced, growing business with real progression opportunities?
We are working with a well-established and expanding logistics organisation seeking a Customs Clearance Agent to join their busy operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customs experience who thrives in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment and enjoys being part of a collaborative, supportive team.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods across the UK, Ireland, EU and international markets, handling a wide variety of commodities.
The Role:
* Preparation and submission of import & export customs declarations
* Managing documentation for UK, ROI, EU and international trade movements
* Working across controlled and non-controlled goods
* Liaising with customers, drivers and internal teams to ensure smooth clearance
* Ensuring compliance with customs legislation and internal KPI targets
* Maintaining strong attention to detail to prevent delays, duty errors or compliance issues
This is a varied role where you will become an "all-rounder" rather than being siloed into one area of customs.
The Ideal Person Will:
* Have previous experience within customs clearance
* Be comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure environment
* Have strong knowledge of customs procedures (imports and/or exports)
* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
* Have strong communication skills (email & phone)
* Be confident managing deadlines and prioritising workload
* Experience with systems such as TSS, Transit or similar platforms (desirable but not essential)
This role is best suited to someone already working within customs or logistics - not a pure administrative background.
What's in it for you?
* Competitive salary (£30,000 - £32,500 DOE)
* Monthly bonus (£1,200 per annum potential)
* Paid overtime (1 weekend per month on average)
* 28 days annual leave + birthday off
* Health plan (including dental & optical)
* Salary sacrifice pension
* Monthly team lunches & quarterly team-building days
* Structured induction & tailored training plan
* Funded professional development opportunities
* Clear career progression across operations, compliance, freight or commercial functions
* Job security within a growing and evolving sector
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team within a business that genuinely invests in its people.
