A vibrant and welcoming Good secondary school in Suffolk is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Music ECT to join their thriving Performing Arts department for an immediate start. About the Role You will teach Music across KS3–KS4, planning and delivering lessons that build musical confidence, performance skills, and theoretical understanding. You will also support: Ensemble or choir rehearsals School concerts and musical showcases Composition and digital music projects Classroom instrumental work Extra-curricular music clubs Your timetable and responsibilities will be structured to support your development as an ECT. You will receive: Weekly meetings with an ECT mentor A reduced teaching load during induction Scheduled observation and feedback cycles focused on professional growth Opportunities to observe experienced Music teachers across the trust Strong collaborative planning support within the department The school recognises that Music ECTs need time to establish routines, vocal stamina, behaviour presence, and confidence in leading performance tasks — and the department is prepared to fully support you in this.
