Position Details

* Salary: £54,042 - £57,351
* Location: Stirling (Hybrid)

Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Officer Finance, the Finance Service Manager provides strategic leadership of the Corporate Accounting and Accounts Payable teams. The role focuses on developing and delivering these functional areas in accordance with the Council’s strategic objectives, goals, and values, ensuring best value. You will support the provision of high-quality financial management information and provide professional advice to Senior Managers and budget holders. Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with Senior Officers and management teams, you will deliver insights and analysis that enable non-financial managers to make strategic, informed decisions to improve performance.
Candidate Requirements
* CCAB qualified accountant, educated to degree level or equivalent
* Experience and knowledge of Local Government Finance and relevant legislation
* Professional expertise in functional areas of finance
* Experience managing budgets, ideally within a local authority setting
* Experience managing people, preparing Committee Reports, and presenting recommendations
* Contributing to Service Planning and strategic direction
