Delivering plant, signing & guarding (S&G) and materials from our strategically placed distribution depots to support the field teams that are out on site.
Responsibilities
* Deliver key communications to customers, advising them of planned and imminent repair works on Thames Water's water network in their vicinity.
* Monitor field works during the transition between water network fix and reinstatement back‑fill completion to ensure guarding of water infrastructure is compliant with a safe and high standard.
* Ensure delivery schedules are maintained and advise the Logistics coordinator of any deviation that could impact service on any outbound or site collection/clearance tasks.
* Conduct a preloading assessment before dispatch and loading, and use the correct tie‑down for the load.
Qualifications
* Be able to legally drive in the UK and have your own transport, or be able to use the company vehicle provided.
* Have previous commercial van driving experience.
* Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence.
* Be able to demonstrate a reliable, punctual and flexible attitude and work ethic.
* Be comfortable with manual handling up to 25 Kgs.
Benefits and Perks
* Competitive salary of £30,000 to £32,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
* 45 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 07.00 am‑5.00 pm.
* On‑call rota (1 in 4/6 weeks) with call‑out charge and overtime paid.
* Company tipper vehicle provided – can be taken home or left in the depot.
* Based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire.
