Our Farm
We are a family-owned mixed farm in south Leicestershire, milking 220 high-yielding Holsteins on a new Lely set-up. The farm covers 700 acres including mixed grassland and an arable operation alongside the dairy unit. We are currently harvesting 160 acres of feed for wheat, 175 acres for maize and 100 acres of grass for the farm’s forage use. The farm follows a year-round calving pattern, with all our youngstock reared on the farm in purpose-built units with a total of 640 cattle.
Your role
As a Tractor Driver, you will be reporting to the Farm Owner, supporting all arable & machinery operations. Roles and responsibilities will include.
* Daily arable duties, including spraying, fertilising, drilling, combining, carting and mowing
* Grain store management (filling and emptying stores)
* Feeding the herd, ensuring the herd is provided with the correct feed amount and completing inventory checks of the feed.
* General tractor and machinery work, including maintenance of the farm equipment, welding and repairs.
* Liaising with contractors when needed
* Keeping the clamps and yard tidy. Adhering to health & safety protocols at all times
* Keeping basic records and compliance up to date.
* Supporting with other farm tasks when required

Requirements
* Full UK driving license
* Proof of UK right to work
* PA1 & PA2 tickets are preferred
* Be able to take on responsibility and adapt to different scenarios
* Be reliable, punctual and supportive, with a high attention to detail
* Demonstrate previous experience or knowledge in machinery maintenance
